Introduction to Gender and Sexuality Studies

This course will cover various theories of gender and sexuality, the historical development of those categories, and their intersection with categories of race, class, secuality, age, and ability. We will consider definitions of women, men and other, e.g. transgendered infividuals, and the lives of such persons as workers, partnes, sexual actors, children, victims and perpetrators of violence, intellectuals, citizens, and social agents
